Finals format - who plays who?
Finals formats are as follows based on the grades:
Within the groups of four the usual pattern applies. Semis: 1 v 2, 3 v 4, then prelim (loser first SF, winner 2nd SF), then GF (winner first SF, winner PF).
Jets vs. Jets in finals - white singlet requirements
When an Aberfeldie team is versing another Aberfeldie team, in the home and away competition the team named first on the fixture for that round is to collect and wear the white singlets. This is Club policy and not to be disputed on the day. Teams that fail to collect and wear the singlets as per Club policy, will forfeit the game and points will be awarded to the opposing Jets team.
In finals the team that finished highest on the ladder wear the blue singlets and the other team wears the white singlets.
In Grand finals whoever got to the Grand Final first wears the Blue singlets, the opposing team wears the white singlets.
This Club policy is not up for discussion on the day, referees should be enforcing this policy.
Please send a text to Tim McEune at 0421 217 749 before 5PM Friday prior to your game. Collect the singlets from 16 Ballater Street, Essendon
Please wash and return singlets promptly as the Club has a number of teams requiring them each week.
