The Keilor Basketball Association adhere to the Basketball Victoria Climate Policy. When the policy parameters are reached, they will be implemented by the appointed KBA representative at each respective venue.

TRAINING - ABERFELDIE JETS BASKETBALL CLUB'S CLIMATE (HEAT) POLICY
When temperatures of 35 degrees or higher are forecast the Club will cancel training and advise their members via the Club Communication channels including Team App and social media. The venues that Aberfeldie Jets use for training aren't air-conditioned and do get rather hot and our priority is the safety of our players and volunteers.
When temperatures of 28-34 degrees are forecast Coaches are asked to modify drills to reduce players overheating, ensure players take extra water breaks during training and keep an eye out for signs of heat stress and dehydration in their players. Players should also be encouraged to hydrate appropriately pre and post training.
