Reporting injuries

For injuries that occur at training, the Team Manager should notify the Club at admin@aberfeldiejets.com.au with the following details (player name, team and coach details, training time and venue, witnesses to the incident, nature of the injury, treatment provided and how the injury occurred). These details are required by the Club for insurance purposes.

For injuries that occur during the game, the Team Manager should ensure the information is noted on the back of the scoresheet and an injury report (available from the door person at each venue) is completed by the Team Manager. The Team Manager should notify the Club at admin@aberfeldiejets.com.au

If an ambulance is called during the game or at training the Club must be notified in writing via email to admin@aberfeldiejets.com.au as soon as practical after the event. It is the responsibility of the Team Manager (and in their absence the Coach) to complete the injury report and notify the Club.

Medical certificate due to injury - medical exemptions for missed games
Players who miss games during the regular season may apply via the Club to have the missed games credited to them for qualification purposes under bylaw 16.12 of the KBAJ bylaw, which states:

"16.12 Medical certificates should be submitted within 21 days of the original date of injury. Certificates must include a start and end date, e.g. 01/07/15 - 14/08/15. If the certificate does not have an end date, the player is then required to get a dated certificate or statutory declaration clearing them to play. Medical certificates are only accepted up the last round of the season. All certificates are accepted at the discretion of the office as delegated with the authority of the KBAJ."

Medical certificates need to be forwarded to the Aberfeldie Jets Admin Officer at admin@aberfeldiejets.com.au
