Clearance (transfer) process - effective 2021 Winter Season
A clearance (transfer) is required, when a player wants to change clubs and play with a different club within the Junior Domestic competition at Keilor Basketball Association (KBA). The Clubs who are part of the transfer process are shown in the photo above (excluding the Keilor Thunder rep and VBRA/TOC referees branch).
Transfers are now initiated during registration to the intended new KBA club and must be fully approved to enable the registration to be completed.
The transfer process is as follows:
Note: If the transfer request is declined at any point, the transfer process will automatically cease. The reasons would need to be discussed with the declining club. If the reason for the denial can be resolved, the registration would need to be started again as per step 1 and a new transfer request made.
If you are playing at a domestic Club at a different Association other than Keilor, such as Broadmeadows, Westgate, Melton, Coburg etc you do not need a transfer to change domestic teams. This is only for players intending to change domestic Clubs within the Keilor Basketball Association.
