BOYS BORN 2006-2010
The presentation "Stand Your Ground - Peer Group Pressure and Decision Making" (outlined below) has been made available in a Zoom Webinar to us on Tuesday 31st August 2021, from 7.00pm - 8.00pm. This presentation is for Boys born in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. Boys at this age are about to enter a time of life in which there is often significant pressure to experiment with negative risk-taking behaviour. This course aims to provide young men with a tool kit to help them resist this pressure and to respond confidently. Research shows that if young people have rehearsed their responses, they are far more likely to make a positive decision under pressure when the time comes. To attend the boys session, you must register your interest here This link will open be open until 3.00pm Tuesday (31/8), unless the session fills before that - numbers are limited. A zoom link will then be sent to those that have registered by 5pm Tuesday. |
GIRLS BORN 2006-2010
The presentation "Empowered" (outlined below) has been made available in a Zoom Webinar to us on Wednesday 1st September 2021, from 7.00pm - 8.00pm. This presentation is for Girls born in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010. This course is designed to help girls overcome an often accepted, narrow definition of what it means to be a girl. Girls are encouraged to identify their character strengths and to use their strengths to reach their potential. Girls are empowered to critically evaluate the messages of society and to be defined by their values, beliefs and character, rather than by the way that they look. To attend the girls session, you must register your interest here This link will be open until 3.00pm Wednesday (1/9), unless the session fills before that - numbers are limited. A zoom link will then be sent to those that have registered by 5pm Wednesday. |
