Aberfeldie Jets strongly supports the wearing of professionally fitting mouthguards to assist in preventing damage to the teeth and mouth both at training and during games. Although technically basketball is a non-contact sport, accidental contact will and does regularly occur. Each season without fail we have at least one significant oral injury that could have been prevented or reduced in seriousness if the player was wearing a mouthguard.

Professionally fitting mouthguards are available from most dentists or you can visit Paul the local mouthguard man in Pascoe Vale South. He offers custom mouthguard fittings in a wide variety of colors, for a reasonable price, health rebates are also available.
