SEASONS
Junior domestic basketball is a year-round sport.
The Keilor Basketball Association who administers our competition, runs two (2) seasons each calendar year:

- The Winter Season runs during Victorian Government school terms Terms 2&3
- The Summer Season runs during Victorian Government school Terms 1&4, with an extended break from mid-December through to late January/early February, depending on when Victorian Government schools are gazetted to return
- Both the Winter and Summer Seasons consists of grading games, competitive season and finals
- Grand Finals are occasionally scheduled for the first week of school holidays in Term 3 or Term 1 depending on the length of the Term and the length of the Season, however no other games are scheduled during school holidays
- Whilst the majority of our players play both Season's, it is not mandatory to play both Season's. However once a player leaves a team, there is no guarantee that they can return to the same team should they decide to take a season off
- Basketball is a small sided game, Jets teams usually contain between 8-10 players. It is expected that players commit to playing each week of the season, it is not acceptable that players only play every second week.
