The registration fee also covers administrative, governance, legal, strategic, technical and digital support for member associations and their clubs such as the Keilor Basketball Association and Aberfeldie Jets.

team entry fee to the competition
administration and operational costs associated with running the club (employee wages, superannuation, club phone/computer, club email, club website, storage unit costs etc)
Prompt payment of fees is required and keeps the Club running smoothly. Just like running a household, the Club has expenditures and without income in the form of fees, our bills for venue hire, insurance and the like cannot be paid. The Club has a "no pay - no play" policy to ensure every player pays on time and Club Registrars and Admin do not expend energy chasing unfinancial members. This policy is also supported by the Association and the state governing body Basketball Victoria, unfinancial players cannot participate.
The Club's Player payment and refund policy (plus team selection policy) can be found here. Please ensure you familiarise yourself with it before paying your fees.
The Club is unable to offer payment plans. Payment must be made in full before a player can take the court at training or a game.
UNIFORMS
All players must wear the approved club uniform to play. The uniform consists of an Aberfeldie Jets reversible singlet with a unique number allocated by the club for each team member and a pair of Aberfeldie Jets shorts.
Players who play with Aberfeldie Jets from U10-U19 (girls) or U20 (boys) typically purchase two uniforms throughout their playing career, one upon commencement in the younger years and one in their mid teens. Uniform costs for singlet and shorts is approximately $100. Unfortunately due to the size of the Club and the logistics of volunteers issuing uniforms we do not allow players to choose their own numbers.
Information on how to order a uniform can be found here.
MOUTHGUARDS
It is highly recommended that all players wear a mouthguard both at training and games. Although technically basketball is a non-contact sport, accidental contact will and does regularly occur. Each season without fail we have at least one significant oral injury that could have been prevented or reduced in seriousness if the player was wearing a mouthguard. Information on where to purchase a custom made mouthguard locally can be found here.
